Welcome to offlyn.love ("offlyn.love," "we," "us," or "our"). offlyn.love is a trust-based dating and social connection platform. It connects you with people your real-life friends personally know — not strangers from the internet.
offlyn.love is an independently operated personal project, built and maintained by a single individual. References to "we," "us," and "our" throughout these Terms refer to that individual operator.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and the operator of offlyn.love. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms apply to the offlyn.love mobile application ("App") and the offlyn.love website ("Site"), collectively the "Services."
You must be at least 18 years old to use offlyn.love. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older. We enforce this at registration by requiring you to enter your date of birth. If you enter a false date of birth to circumvent this requirement, your account will be permanently terminated without notice.

We currently serve users primarily in India. By using the Services, you agree that your use is governed by Indian law.
You register with your phone number. We verify your identity via a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS. Your phone number is your account identity — keep it private and secure.
You may hold only one account. Creating duplicate accounts, accounts on behalf of others, or accounts using someone else's phone number is prohibited.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information — including your real name, real date of birth, real photos of yourself, and a genuine bio. Impersonating another person or creating a misleading profile is a violation of these Terms.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact the operator directly at david@offlyn.love.
offlyn.love has a unique model. When you join, you choose one of three intents:
If your intent includes helping your friends ("For my friends" or "Both"), you play an active role in other users' experience. When you add someone as a friend on offlyn.love, you are implicitly vouching that you know that person in real life. This is the foundation of offlyn.love's trust model.
By adding someone as a friend, you agree that:
Adding people you do not know to game the system, or coordinating fake connections with others, violates these Terms and undermines the safety of other users.
offlyn.love may request access to your device's contact list to identify mutual friends between you and other users. This permission is optional.
If you grant contacts access:
You may post photos, a bio, interests, and other profile content ("Your Content"). You retain ownership of Your Content. By posting it, you grant offlyn.love a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and use Your Content solely to operate and provide the Services — including showing your profile to other users as part of the discovery feed.
All content you post must:
We may remove content that violates these standards without notice and may terminate your account for repeated or serious violations.
Messages you send through the App are stored on our servers and are visible only to the participants in that conversation. They are not end-to-end encrypted. You agree not to use the messaging system to harass, threaten, solicit, or send spam to other users. We do not read your messages proactively, but we may access message content when investigating a report or as required by law.
offlyn.love's core privacy design is that the identity of your mutual friend is not revealed until after both parties match. This is intentional and applies to all users equally.
You agree not to attempt to identify, reverse-engineer, or extract the identity of a mutual friend before a match has been established — including by cross-referencing timing, profile photos, or any other means.
Once a match is established, the mutual friend's identity is revealed in the conversation screen. The mutual friend is a real person who has chosen to be on offlyn.love and whose privacy you must respect.
You agree not to use the Services to:
offlyn.love is unequivocally committed to protecting children from sexual exploitation and abuse.
Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) — including the creation, possession, distribution, or solicitation of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — is strictly prohibited on offlyn.love. There are no exceptions. Anyone found to have engaged in CSAE through our platform will have their account permanently terminated and will be reported to law enforcement.
If we become aware of CSAM on our platform, we will:
If you encounter content or behaviour that you believe constitutes CSAE, use the in-app reporting mechanism immediately — available on every profile and in every conversation. Select "Child sexual abuse or exploitation" as the report reason. Reports are reviewed as a priority.
offlyn.love has a designated child safety point of contact for notifications from Google Play and other platforms regarding CSAE content:

This contact is monitored and positioned to take immediate action on any reports received.
Do not send suspected CSAM or any evidence of abuse to this email address. Report all content violations using the in-app reporting mechanism. This contact exists for platform-level notifications from Google Play and similar authorities only.
You can report any profile or conversation using the in-app report button. Report reasons include harassment, spam, fake profiles, inappropriate content, nudity or explicit content, violence or dangerous behaviour, child sexual abuse or exploitation, and other concerns. Every report is reviewed.
We will not disclose to the reported user that you filed a report. We will not share the outcome of a report review with you unless required by law, but we take all reports seriously.
You can block any user at any time. Blocking a user removes them from your feed and prevents them from messaging you. Blocked users are not notified that they have been blocked.
When we determine a violation has occurred, we may, at our sole discretion: issue a warning, remove content, temporarily suspend your account, permanently terminate your account, or refer the matter to law enforcement. We are not obligated to give advance notice before taking action, particularly for serious violations.
A match occurs when two users have both expressed interest in each other through the explore feed. Upon matching, a conversation is created and the mutual friend is revealed.
offlyn.love provides the infrastructure for conversation, but is not a party to the conversations you have. We are not responsible for the content of messages between users, though abusive behaviour is reportable and actionable under these Terms.
Meeting someone from offlyn.love in real life is entirely at your own discretion and risk. We strongly encourage meeting in public places.
You can delete your account at any time via offlyn.love/app/account/delete. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.
Upon deletion:
Some anonymised or aggregated data may be retained for legal compliance and fraud prevention purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy.
The offlyn.love name, logo, and all original content, features, and functionality of the Services are owned by or licensed to offlyn.love and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Services, or reverse-engineer any part of the App, without our written permission.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
offlyn.love does not verify the identity of users beyond phone OTP. You interact with other users at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, offlyn.love shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless offlyn.love and its operator from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: your use of the Services, Your Content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any third-party right, or your violation of any applicable law.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. The Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 apply where relevant.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services shall first be addressed by contacting the operator directly at david@offlyn.love. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email, and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, stop using the Services and delete your account.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect.
offlyn.love is built and run by one person. All questions, reports, and legal notices go to the same place.
